What is Manuka Honey?
Native to New Zealand, Manuka honey is made by bees that pollinate the flowers of the Manuka bush. It has a higher concentraton of methylglyoxal, making it more potent and health-boosting than other types of honey. As a result, Manuka honey acts an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral. It’s health benefits range from easing cuts and burns, to stomach ulcers.
Skin Benefits of Manuka Honey
Mankua honey is a great treatment for skin blemishes because of it’s antibacterial properties. It draws moisture to the skin, making it smoother and younger looking. Additionally, it promotes collagen growth in skin cells making a great for anti-aging.
Manuka honey is rated by it’s “strength” ranging 5 to 25. For best results, make sure your honey has a rating of 16 or more.

In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Spread mixture on face in the thin layer. Leave on face for 15-20 mins. Rinse with warm water.
